How To Completely Remove Navbar From Blogger

Blogger is famous for allowing its users to completely customize the look of blog. most of the people don’t like the navigation bar (also called as address bar) on the top of blog as it takes some extra space and don’t look good .

You will find many resources that will show you how to hide navbar but completely removing the navbar from your blogger blog is something different that’s what i will show you, that is how you can completely remove navbar widget  from your blog and even from your html code.

Step 1 : Go to the template section and then click on “edit html” to proceed to the html section

Step 2: check “expand widgets”

step 3: remove the following code from your html

Step 4 : Once you remove the code of the Navbar widget from your template html code save the template .while saving the template your will be asked if you want to keep the navbar widget or delete it . Delete the navbar widget and you are good to go.

Setup Front End Posting System For Blogspot

Blogspot itself doesn’t provide front end posting option like some Word press plugins allow on that platform. But one can set-up front end posting for Blogger by using a couple of free services provided by Google.

You can easily setup front end posting system for your blogspot blog using Google Forms and blogger post by email option. Many of you don’t know that Google Forms can be scripted to send you an email every time a response is submitted . You can edit the script to send you a title field as subject of email and message field as body of email.

If you provide your blogspot secret email id as “recipient” then all the responses will be automatically submitted to your blog . You have the option to directly publish them or just save then as draft .
Look up Google Spreadsheet to email and you will find the script .

Remove Blog Title From Post Page Title

To change or remove blog title from post title blogger that shows in the search results and on the tab in browser you need to find the following line in the head section of your blogspot template code

 

and replace it with the following

 

The above addition will ensure that  your blogspot blog title is shown only on homepage and the post title will be shown in search results without blog title.

Adding Nofollow Tag To External Links Blogspot

Adding no follow tag to external links is always a good idea for any blog as it prevents search engine bots to follow external links that may not be relevant to your content. For example search engine bots follow links to social sharing sites via share buttons.

To add no follow tag to external links manually without any scripts or jquery codes just open your Blogspot template editor and find  ” <a " using 'ctrl+f ' . All links in your blogger template will be enclosed within these tags . See which links are external links and add rel="nofollow" just after <a for every link you want to be no-follow .
